About

Since 1984, when I left Norwest Corporation, I been self-employed, offering writing, editing, and resume services in Fargo, North Dakota; in 1988, I started doing business as The Written Word. I have enjoyed meeting people and helping them to put together resumes and cover letters, and the job search work has become my major concentration. Often I am asked if I do developmental editing or critique manuscripts; I don’t, but I can refer you to published authors who offer those services. One such is Judith Tarr, who can be contacted through Judith Tarr’s Brand-New Shiny Home Page; click on the “Opportunities for Writers” link.

In addition to the writing I do for my clients, I have also written articles, essays, short stories, and poetry. It occurred to me, recently, that my writing might fit in here on my business Web site. Since my life has been…less than integrated, my writing is scattered across the Internet. As I get older, though, I find myself wanting to concentrate my efforts more and focus on what is before me.

As well as writing resumes and cover letters, which I have been doing for a living since August of 1984, I am offering some of my photographs and photo art through RedBubble.com. (See the pictures below for a sampling of my recent work.)

Buy my art

I started photography in earnest in 2003, when I first got my hands on a digital camera. My photos are on display at a couple of public sites: RedBubble.com, where my photos are for sale as postcards, greeting cards, and wall art, and formerly at JPGMag.com, where I met a lot of other amateur and professional photographers and enjoyed looking at their photographs. I have learned a lot in the process. I hope you will enjoy my work.
